Bug#1121606: spirv-tools dev package is missing the shared libraries.
Package: spirv-tools
Version: 2023.1-2
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: hibbsncc1701@gmail.com
Dear Maintainer,
The spirv-tools dev package is missing it's shared libraries. I checked sid and
currently the shared libs are set to NOT be built in the debian/rules file.
The vkd3d package from wine now has a dependency on those shared libs when the
--with-spirv-tools option is given to it's configure script.
Wine has also been aware of the issue since 2022, at least according to
https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/vkd3d/-/merge_requests/52
It seems that their chosen solution was simply for Debian to add the missing
libraries, as the linked workaround required manually setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH
anytime someone wanted to use the built vkd3d libs.
It would be nice to see the missing libs in Debian.
