Bug#959071: xserver-xephyr: Xephyr and Xnest: AltGr combined keystrokes do not work while using German keyboard layout

Package: xserver-xephyr
Version: 2:1.20.8-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
     Xephyr :2 -query m2n.lan.dac -screen 1920x1080 &
     or
     Xnest -query tdz2000.lan.dac -geometry 1600x1050 :2
   * What was the outcome of this action?
Everything works fine, exept AltGr combined keystrokes like "\" key on a
German keyboard
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Working AltGr (right Alt key) key on a German keyboard

currently in Debian/testing Xnest and Xephyr report the following error, when
used with a German keyboard layout:

adrian@g6 ~ % Xephyr :2 -query m2n.lan.dac -screen 1920x1080 &
[1] 74607
adrian@g6 ~ % The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:
> Internal error: Could not resolve keysym XF86FullScreen
Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server

In the effect, hitting AltGr + ß does produce no key instead of "\". Any AltGr
combined keystroke is broken and does not work.

I hit this error connecting to an XDM display manager running on NetBSD 9
connected over a local lan network. I tried with two real NetBSD 9 machines on
the local network. AltGr works fine on those NetBSD 9 machines locally with
console login and Xorg login or on my Debian/testing host here with
Enlightenment DR 17.

Please can you have a look at this issue.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Adrian Kiess
