Bug#833182: drmSetMaster(): Permission denied with VESA Driver

Dear Maintainer,

After the Debian update to 9.7.0 the same problem (“drmSetMaster(): Permission denied” error when starting X server as non-root) occurs with a VESA driver as well (at least in a Debian VM running on VirtualBox). Before the update all worked fine (I think the latest version where we tested it was 9.5.0).

The packages that got updated (with older packages all is fine, with newer packages it doesn’t work):

linux-image-4.9.0-8-amd64: 4.9.110-3+deb9u6  -> 4.9.130-2

xserver-common/xserver-xorg-core: 2:1.19.2-1+deb9u2 -> 2:1.19.2-1+deb9u5

Xorg.0.log attached.

Kind regards

Mikhail
