Bug#920932: mesa: This version breaks the display on rpi (RaspberryPi) making it garbled

Source: mesa
Version: 18.3.2-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I apologise if this is the wrong place to report this, but raspbian has
no clear bug reporting procedure and they use the same packages.

Anyway, upgrading mesa on my raspberrypi from 18.2.8-2 to this version
broke the display.

It sort of works but the text is unreadable. I attach a photo of the screen.

The video player displays garbage and vertical green stripes.

I downgraded to 18.2.8-2 by downloading the binaries from the debian archives
and everything seems fine again, but perhaps you should be aware of this issue.

Best.
