dblatex was in the "Recommends" of asciidoc. By default the Recommends
packages are installed, so the actual users had that installation by
default before. That's the reason why asciidoc is now a dependency of
asciidoc-dbaltex.

What could be done would be to have asciidoc pulling asciidoc-base
instead of asciidoc-dbaltex. But that would impact the users relying
on the fact that dblatex was installed along with asciidoc before
(yes, there are users relying on that).

This split has been ask for several years now to be able to have a
package that don't have dblatex in the recommends.
