The version number stated in the log doesn't show +deb8u1, but the attached is from the exact moment I logged in from my laptop to kill Xorg on this desktop, so it has to be it. Hopefully I have some freak coincidence configuration that isn't affecting many other users. :) Note that I do not have an /etc/X11/xorg.conf right now; letting Xorg figure things out has worked well for me on this box so far.
