Package: xserver-xorg-video-radeon

Version: 7.8.0-1+b1

Hello, after upgrading to version 7.8 of xserver-xorg-video-radeon I experienced multiple freezes of video during playing netflix via chrome, launching full-screen video games, etc. The symptoms are always the same: video freezes, sound continues playing, switching to console works fine and allows to kill -9 frozen application.

Downgrading to 7.7.1-1 (and xorg from 1.19 to 1.18.4-2) from http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20160916T045559Z/ solves the situation.

I am using Debian unstable with

$ uname -rm
4.9.0-1-amd64 x86_64

1002:6740 - VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Whistler [Radeon HD 6730M/6770M/7690M XT]
