The problem is that the libinput driver started to be used, and it had some
regressions compared to the synaptics driver.

Does this work any better with libinput10 1.3.0-2 ?

If not, please report this at

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=xorg&component=input/libinput

By the way with xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.8.3-2, the synaptics driver will
be used by default again. You can uninstall it to test the libinput driver and
report bugs, then install it again to use synaptics.

Cheers,
Emilio
