Yeah I'm aware of this. There's also no hardware acceleration for
Volcanic Islands family for LLVM < 3.6.1.

Having LLVM-3.7 in jessie-backports would be really nice for radeonsi
users but it isn't a hard requirement to backport mesa at all.

How hard would it be to backport LLVM-3.7 to jessie-backports?
Are you interested in helping/providing such a backport?
