That's the same card family the submitter of #784641 has, but that bug
lacks sufficient information and was reported in stable, so I have
refrained from merging them for now.

It is possible that your bug is related to
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89775.  Try booting with
nouveau.config=NvMSI=0 and see if it helps.
