Bug#783719: xserver-xorg-video-intel_2:2.99.917-1~exp1 scrolling bug

Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:2.99.917-1~exp1

Dear all,

I'd like to apologize for any failings in this report, this is my first
bug report. Suggestions on how to improve future reports are welcome.

This package results in black lines that obscure across rows after
scrolling within certain text fields. I experienced this problem when
trying to add to the Debian wiki and tried to scroll down the website's
text box in order to add comments to an article.

This bug does not occur when scrolling through any other browser
interface or when scrolling down a text document with a text editor (I
used Geany) or using LibreOffice.

I solved the error by doing the following:

I creating a configuration file in the following location:
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

The file included the following content:
Section "Device"
   Identifier "Intel Graphics"
   Driver "intel"
   Option "AccelMethod" "uxa"
EndSection

I tested with AccelMethod "glamor" and "sna" as well. Those did not
resolve the problem. Only "uxa" worked for me.

This seems to have, thus far, solved the problem. I've yet to encounter
any other issues.

I'm using Debian 8
DE: Gnome 3.14, stock provided by Jessie installation
My kernel: 3.16.0-4-amd64
Using (Debian GLIBC 2.19-18) 2.19
