Re: Bug#757604: Connectors for additional monitors not recognized in new laptop

Thank you very much for answer.
I attempted to download and burn latest Knoppix with 3.15 but very difficult to get latest version, mirrors don't have it yet.
Will have to try latest siduction kernel, give me some time to install it.
In the meantime, here is output of xrandr with HDMI Viewsonic monitor VX2252mh connected:

xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
Screen 0: minimum 1600 x 900, current 1600 x 900, maximum 1600 x 900
default connected primary 1600x900+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   1600x900 0.00*

As you can see, it only reports Screen 0.
Will be back here shortly.

Problem: this laptop does not recognize additional monitors, not VGA nor
HDMI.
I have been told that the kernel I am using is not suitable for this GPU
and that I need kernel 3.16.
Mullins support already went into 3.15 AFAICT, but it definitely wasn't
in 3.14 yet.

In Debian this kernel is only in experimental, an rc marked as buggy,
however, this kernel has gone stable and siduction derivative has it.
I am not sure if loading this kernel will solve problem, or if problem
is in drivers.
Can you try a 3.15 or 3.16 kernel? The ati/radeon Xorg driver can't work
without the corresponding kernel support.
