Package: xterm
Version: 6.8.2.dfsg.1-4
Severity: important

Every time I launch vim from within a uxterm, the xterm exits with
an X error:

[moise@mole ~]$ uxterm
xterm: warning, error event received:
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 77 (X_ImageText16)
  Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 216
Current serial number in output stream: 261
[moise@mole ~]$

Within the uxterm, I'm just typing 'vim' to cause the error. I can
open some files with vim, but as soon as I switch to insert mode I get
that crash again. Plain 'vim' crashes the xterm immediately.

Hi! I'm closing this bug, since it was tagged "moreinfo" for years
without answer. If you still encounter this problem, please feel free
to re-open it or ask me to do it.

Since it is unreproductible and no info has been provided during the
last 4 years, it's probably better to open a new bug if the issue
re-appears.
