Package: kdelibs-bin
Version: 4:4.3.2-2
Severity: important
File: /usr/bin/kdeinit4

I have been unable to login to my KDE desktop for several weeks now.
On attempting to login, I get the hard drive icon displayed, then the
next three icons begin to fade into view, then I am abruptly kicked
back to the KDM login screen.

I can login to a fluxbox or gnome desktop, but I would like to get
back to using KDE.

After a failed attempt to login to KDE I am unable to switch to a
virtual text console (eg. with ctrl-alt-f2). In fact attempting to do
so will cause the keyboard and mouse to freeze up and I have to
restart the machine. Switching to a text console *before* a failed
login attempt works fine.

I have tried deleting my .kde directory, but that did not help. My X
server is using the openchrome driver on a VIA Technologies, Inc.
K8M800/K8N800/K8N800A [S3 UniChrome Pro] adapter.

I don't know if this is really a bug in kdeinit4, but that's where the
crash is occurring.

An example .xsession-errors report is included below.

This bug looks the same as 458766, 607942,631989 and 562585.

So as Unichrome dri 1 driver was removed form mesa, the bug
no longer exist (no more 3D acceleration for unichrome cards)

So I'm closing it...
