I have a MSI GE60 laptop with multitouch touchpad which is essentially 
unusable because of two related issues:
1) when resting a finger on the button area (without pressing) the 
touchpad does not recognize movements any more.
2) click & drag doesn't work for the same reason

This issue has been reported elsewhere before:
