I discovered that xev has an -id option, which I hoped I could use to
debug the behavior of an application by recording the exact events it
received. However, when I run it on, say, an xterm, I don't get any
ButtonPress or ButtonRelease events. When I press a button, I do get
LeaveNotify, EnterNotify, and KeymapNotify events.
There is probably some fundamental reason for this that can't be fixed,
but I'm reporting it just in case. Maybe it should be documented.
Also, I found that I can get the information I want from xtrapout.
