  Changes:

  Use macros "IR" or "RI" for mixed italic and roman strings

  Use extra space (\, or \/) between italic and roman letters

  Protect full stop at end of abbreviations with '\&'

  Remove extra word space or add

  Dash for a range is \(en

  Use extra small space (\|) around '|' meaning 'or'

  Do not hyphenate path names that contain a hyphen

  Some cosmetic changes.
