Package: xbase-clients
Version: 4.0.1-11
The man page of xhost states in the OPTIONS section that
"[+]name The given name (the plus sign is optional) is added to the
list allowed to connect to the X server. The name can be a host name or a
user name."
which simply doesn't work in Linux, right?
Oh, btw, this is interesting too:
$ xhost +user@localhost
user@localhost being added to access control list
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for
operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 109 (X_ChangeHosts)
Value in failed request: 0xfe
Serial number of failed request: 8
Current serial number in output stream: 10
I'm using Debian woody(unstable), Linux 2.2.17, libc6 2.2-5 and X 4.0.1-11
Cheers,
Martin
