Bug#510429: X queue fills up, then locks up system

Kernel 3.7.5 xserver-xorg-video-intel version 2:2.19.0-6
Still get this, but worse, a reason update has basically made gnome
unusable. glxinfo doesn't show any errors, but the entire desktop is
sluggish and for instance glxgears runs at 49fps but periodically
stops for a couple seconds.

Only new error in Xorg log is "Failed to load module vesa"
Loading fbdev_drv.so

And

Falling back to old probe method for fbdev. This could be a compiz
problem with the new gnome, I'm not sure. But I know its a serious
regression.
