I suspect this is the same problem as #692156, and it is almost surely
specific to powerpc. Could you please try version 1:1.0.6-1 from
experimental? If the bug persists with that version, please report it
upstream, see http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/Bugs for instructions.
Also, does it help to disable acceleration (boot with nouveau.noaccel=1
to test that)?
