Hello, as Google Chrome user I find this bug report insightful:

In particular, the last comment suggests a patch for Debian:

I haven't applied it yet (I used the "nvidia-settings -a InitialPixmapPlacement=0" workaround, switched back to 4, 1 -- seems fine so far, I haven't restarted xsession yet, too busy with many apps for now).
