Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?Might open and close once per session using
eject key.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)? If I leave a disk in the tray , and use the GUI in file
manager to open tray, the eject key will close tray.
   * What was the outcome of this action?Eject key only works if GUI opens cd
tray.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?Eject key should open or close cd
tray.

Not something X input drivers handle. X sends an event to applications
when you press the key, what happens beyond that is controlled by
clients.
