Bug#659558: libx11-6: libX11 or libxbc ignores a -display or DISPLAY, when host does not respond

Package: libx11-6
Version: 2:1.4.4-4
Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
an `xterm -display thishostdoesnotexist:0` on wheezy will display on
localhost:0 without throwing a "Can't open display" error. Same with
xclock and all other basic X clients.
See: http://kephra.de/src/xterm-strace.txt
Search for /193.101.47
The ECONNREFUSED (Connection refused) is ignored, and instead
/tmp/.X11-unix/X0 used a few lines later. The bug is likely in libX11 or libxbc. ciao, kraehe
