Bug#645736: Please hide xterm and uxterm icons from the GNOME menu
Package: xterm
Version: 276-1
Severity: minor
Hi,
a typical GNOME desktop has gnome-terminal installed and this should be the
most prominent terminal application known to its users. Since version 276-1 the
xterm package provides another two icons to start other terminal applications,
that are not at all integrated into the GNOME desktop, though. While I have no
doubt these two additional starters are valuable in desktop environments that
do not provide their own terminal application, they are simply confusing and
redundant in GNOME. Thus, please cosider adding a line "NotShowIn=GNOME" to the
two corresponding desktop files.
Thanks,
Fabian
