Using the X stack from squeeze-backports would get you a “mixed” environment, but with some degrees of control: you can pull the X stack only. Switching to testing would give you a more “recent” stack, but you could drag a lot of breaka^Wfun with other packages and upgrade paths which might not be well tested yet. ;-) Mraw, KiBi.
