I confirm that the workaround proposed in [1] works for me with
xorg-server 2:1.11.1.901-2. I did something like the following:
apt-get source xorg-server
cd xorg-server-1.11.1.901/
apt-get build-dep xorg-server
curl http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/patch/?id=56c90e29f04727c903bd0f084d23bf44eb1a0a11 > xserver-patch
patch -R -p1 < xserver-patch
dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc -nc -b
dpkg -i ../xserver-{xorg-core,common}_*.deb
