Bug#633786: libdrm-nouveau1a: Doesn't Depends on a sufficiently recent version of libdrm2
Package: libdrm-nouveau1a
Version: 2.4.26-1
Severity: important
Tags: sid
I installed nouveau for the first time (on a different machine) about
a week ago, alongside a kernel upgrade. After rebooting into the new
kernel, X failed to start, with a message including the string:
"undefined symbol drmGetDeviceNameFromFd"
After _a couple days_ of troubleshooting, I happened to notice that I
had libdrm2 version 2.4.13 on the machine. I upgraded to version
2.4.26-1 (matching libdrm-nouveau1a version 2.4.26-1) and the problem
was immediately resolved.
I don't know that it should depend on libdrm2 >= 2.4.26, but I _do_
know that >= 2.4.3 is not sufficient.
