The upgrade of libmetacity-private0 from 2.30.1-3 to 2.34.0-1 is the cause of the problem. Haven't looked into its code, I assume there is an ABI change that was not well documented, so linkage still works when running the gtk-window-decorator, but should not, thus either a libmetacity-private1 differing from the zero-version becomes required, or the compiz-gtk must be fixed to comply with the changes in the new library... For my part, I dont have the time to achieve that; I live happily with compiz without upgrading libmetacity... Regards, Yusuf
