With my Geforce 8500 GT, out-of-order works fine with software
rendering.  However, the bug submitter may have made the mistake to
install the nouveau 3D driver in the libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental
package which is known for causing GPU hangs.  Anyway…

…since Roelof has switched to the blob it's hard to tell what the
problem was.
