Sorry for delay replying: was away for a few days.

See attached image.  Looks as if it thinks the display buffer is one
width, but it's actually a different one.  The pointer is still
identifiable and moves, and clicking on things gets other undecipherable
visual reactions, so I don't think the server crashed.

It is installed, yes.
