Looks like your GPU is hung.  But there's some hope, since…

…it should be possible to ssh into the machine and access the kernel
logs.  Did you see anything interesting in /var/log/kern.log or
/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old?

If you cannot ssh into the machine, try some other method to capture
kernel logs, see http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/HangDiagnosis.
