Bug#588151: xserver-xorg-video-radeon: corrupt google earth display after zooming

Hi Michel,

all other packages were from wheezy i.e. libgl1-mesa-dri  7.7.1-4...
I tried to upgrade libgl1-mesa-dri and libgl1-mesa-glx to 7.10-4, as well as libdrm2 libdrm-intel1 and libdrm-radeon1 to 2.4.23-3.
and this solves the issue in googleearth. Thanks for the diagnosis!

Yet I had a weird behavior on compositing using "Regression" for OpenGL (previous value in KDE4 control center): all backgrounds of composite areas were lost. I moved to "Shared Memory" and now all seems to be OK for geometry.

Nevertheless, moving to gallium now gives me quite weird behaviour with vsync (which was not active previously) and composite:
$ glxgears
Running synchronized to the vertical refresh.  The framerate should be
approximately the same as the monitor refresh rate.
// with composite off :
376 frames in 5.0 seconds = 75.024 FPS, indeed on 1280x1024@75Hz
// with composite on :
335 frames in 5.0 seconds = 66.845 FPS, and a display that is roughly periodically fluid for 0.8 seconds and bursty for 0.2 seconds

Maybe I should tweak the "radeon" options in an xorg.conf (which I currently do not have)
But maybe also this is not the place to bug you with this...

If you want to investigate more on the issue on squeeze/wheezy, I can revert temporarily to previous versions.

Best regards,

Yvain

Which version of libgl1-mesa-dri?
