Package: compiz Version: 0.8.2-6 Severity: normal I was just doing something like moving a window and all of a sudden compiz crashed (all decorations gone). dmesg says: [109206.570559] compiz.real[13508]: segfault at b5788eb0 ip b5788eb0 sp bfb2312c error 15 Starting compiz again with compiz --replace & wasn't very succesful. It started, but everything was very very very slow. Unusable. So, I killed it again and started metacity to type this bug report. This was printed on the terminal when starting compiz again after it crashed: $ compiz --replace & [3] 466 ws042498-linux@15:13:~$ Checking for Xgl: not present. xset q doesn't reveal the location of the log file. Another annoyance was that my gnome-terminal windows (which are in the gnome session) were suddenly placed elsewhere (other windows were not). -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-1-686-bigmem (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages compiz depends on: ii compiz-core 0.8.2-6 OpenGL window and compositing mana ii compiz-gnome 0.8.2-6 OpenGL window and compositing mana ii compiz-gtk 0.8.2-6 OpenGL window and compositing mana ii compiz-plugins 0.8.2-6 OpenGL window and compositing mana compiz recommends no packages. Version: 0.9.2.1+git20110226.f059fae9-2 The following bugs should be fixed in the recent upload of compiz (to experimental for the time being). If you feel that this is not the case please re-open the bug! Thanks, SeanAttachment: signature.asc
