Hi, Paul Menzel <pm.debian@googlemail.com> (09/03/2011): > I am sorry for not getting back to you earlier. I have not yet had > time to test the patch. Should I still try it since you wrote it did > not work as reported in #600474. no worries. No need to check I'd say, it seems to be fixed on the kernel side for me, as I noted in: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34662 But it might also need a few fixes which landed in master, and in 2.14.901 after that. If you want to give the latter a try, you could try clone from: http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-xorg/driver/xserver-xorg-video-intel.git and build from the debian-unstable branch. That plus booting a 2.6.38rc6 (or higher) kernel should make the glyph issues go away. The alternative could be to switch to both xorg-server 1.10 + intel from experimental, probably together with 2.6.38rc* from experimental as well. Why 2.14.901 isn't in sid was explained in the 4st bullet of: http://blog.ikibiki.org/2011/03/04/DXN-7/ Happy testing if you feel like it, or happy waiting (but I know how badly those glyph corruptions look :/). KiBi.
