Package: iceweasel
Version: 3.5.10-1
Severity: important

I have a two-screen (in the Xorg.conf sense) configuration. If I have a large
image displayed in zoomed-out mode and attempt to zoom in on it, the browser
often takes a few seconds to re-render. If I move my mouse pointer to the other
screen during this re-rendering process, X freezes entirely and accepts no further
input, including attempts to switch to a virtual console to kill iceweasel. The
only solution is to shut down the entire machine with the power button.

This happens with (at least) large GIFs and JPEGs. An example image which causes
this behavior is http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ef/Quietdunes.jpg.

If the image is not in the process of re-rendering, meaning that it is fully zoomed
in or out, there are no problems. It only freezes when I move the mouse onto the
other screen during the re-rendering process.

no news in 6+ months, closing this bug report accordingly.
