Any chance you could tell us how it goes with a sid system? The X/mesa stack is mostly ready to transition (waiting for the kernel so that we don't break the nouveau driver) to testing, which you appear to be tracking; so upgrading should be rather low-risk. Running the mesa bug script and attaching its output would help: /usr/share/bug/libgl1-mesa-dri/script 3>/tmp/script.log KiBi.
