Bug#614938: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: delays in redraw with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295

Additional information...

They was no such problem with the nv driver, and I hadn't used nouveau
until now as it didn't work at all on this machine (bug 581830).

The old digit(s) is replaced by a grey rectangle for a fraction
of second, then the new digit(s) appears. If I constantly move
the mouse pointer over the Emacs window (the contents, not the
title bar of the window), this problem does not occur. This
problem also depends on the font; try with "-fn 6x13".

In Xterm, the possible effects are:
  * The prompt is slow to appear.
  * When going backward or forward in the command history of my
shell, not all the pixel lines are redrawn at the same time
(this problem is difficult to reproduce).
