Package: xserver-xorg-video-nv
Version: 1:2.1.10-1

On a fresh Lenny installation, my system reboots almost immediately
after X starts. Switching to the closed-source "nvidia" driver seems
to solve the problem. I can reproduce this even by starting plain "X"
from a terminal. The hatched background and "X" mouse cursor appear,
then the machine resets. I'm not sure of how to gather any useful log
files here, so any advice would be appreciated. (I'll try to get a
kernel log via serial cable this week.) My hardware is an Asus A8V
Deluxe motherboard, and a GeForce FX 5900 Ultra.

It may also be interesting to note that I cannot reproduce this issue
on all of my PCs. For example, I have a Dell Precision 360 at work
with a Quadro FX, and the "nv" driver works fine there.
