Please use a current version. There are still known issues with 855 chips though.
Now it's: $ cat /proc/versionLinux version 2.6.32-5-686 (Debian 2.6.32-30) (ben@decadent.org.uk) (gcc version 4.3.5 (Debian 4.3.5-4) ) #1 SMP Wed Jan 12 04:01:41 UTC 2011
After upgrade акщь 18/01/2011 (I didn't upgrade the system since the end of december) the situation has deteriorated markedly - X crashes permanently, but now I can get to the console. The only error message in /var/log/Xorg.0.log is:
Fatal server error: Failed to submit batchbuffer: Input/output error Also I've got message: X: ../../src/i830_batchbuffer.h:79: intel_batch_emit_dword: Assertion `pI830->batch_ptr != ((void *)0)' failed. What else can I do to help in resolving the problem?
