Package: xserver-xorg-input-kbd
Version: 1:1.3.1-1
Severity: important

After a system upgrade (listed below) I foun that after a few hours work
the capslock, ctrl, shift & sometimes alt modifier keys fail to be processed correctly by the
xserver. These keys work fine on a standard vt console .

xev - shows key up and down events for the these keys being generated
but the status field stays firmly at 0x10 - no matter the
state of those keys. When this happened earlier I failed to
keep a copy of the xev output.

My current video card is a radeonhd. Hence the upgrade.

I believe this is although not repeatable - will continue to reoccur
at a high enough frequency that I can do some more debugging when
v. soon (probably tomorrow).

Is there anything more I can do to helpyou trace this bug down?
