Looks like https://bugs.freedesktop.org//show_bug.cgi?id=32480
upstream. I managed to reproduce this bug, and cherry-picking the fix
from upstream seems to fix it here.

Unfortunately, it looks like there's also a middle button breakage
somewhere. I've just uploaded a fixed package for the crash you
reported to experimental anyway.
