Bug#596064: /usr/bin/X hangs after return from suspend [i965]

Hi Karl,

Karl Ferdinand Ebert <trebefk@googlemail.com> (30/11/2010):

probably a GPU hung. Could you please attach dmesg when that happens?
It would be nice to have some error reporting. For that, you could:
 1. mount debugfs:
    # mount -t debugfs debugfs /sys/kernel/debugfs
 2. display the error state:
    $ cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state

I hear error reporting might be somehow broken in the squeeze/sid
kernel, in which case you may want to check with a kernel >= 2.6.34
(there's one in experimental).

Anyway, you may want to forward this bug upstream and tell us about
the bug number/URL so that we can track it:
  http://bugs.freedesktop.org/

Instructions can be found here:

KiBi.
