Bug#585911: display breaks on Lenovo W500 with KMS

There are no kernel-sources > 2.6.32 in sid which Brice says I need.  I don't really want to go into experimental.  I build my own kernels from source in order to get the modules I need.  Turning off KMS works fine with 2.6.32 kernels.
