Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel Version: 2:2.12.0+shadow-1 Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. --- If my system boots, it should start KDM for login. This does not work now since approximately when the new boot sequence dependency stuff was introduced in Sid. I talked to some people and they said, the problem would be the intel driver not initializing fast enough. So, here's what I experience. On system startup, X tries to start, but doesn't. If I then log in and start X manually, it works. If I do not have a network cable plugged in at boot time, DHCP takes its time and X starts properly afterwards. Do you have any idea if this could be related to the intel driver? I could send you both Xorg.logs if you are interested. --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.35-fs Debian Release: squeeze/sid 500 unstable www.debian-multimedia.org 500 unstable ftp2.de.debian.org 101 experimental-snapshots qt-kde.debian.net 1 experimental ftp2.de.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =============================================-+-======================= libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6~) | 2.11.2-6 libdrm-intel1 (>= 2.4.21) | 2.4.21-2 libdrm2 (>= 2.4.17) | 2.4.21-2 libpciaccess0 (>= 0.8.0+git20071002) | 0.12.0-1 libx11-6 | 2:1.3.3-3 libx11-xcb1 | 2:1.3.3-3 libxcb-aux0 (>= 0.3.6) | 0.3.6-1 libxcb-dri2-0 | 1.6-1 libxcb1 | 1.6-1 libxext6 | 2:1.1.2-1 libxfixes3 (>= 1:4.0.1) | 1:4.0.5-1 libxv1 | 2:1.0.5-1 libxvmc1 | 2:1.0.5-1 xorg-video-abi-6.0 | xserver-xorg-core (>= 2:1.7.6.901) | 2:1.7.7-7 Package's Recommends field is empty.
