just FYI, adding -v10 to both command lines and diffing (yours/mine):
| Setting verbose level to 10
| locale is C
| -Warning! Multiple definitions of keyboard model
| - Using command line, ignoring X server
| Warning! Multiple definitions of keyboard layout
| Using command line, ignoring X server
| -Warning! Multiple definitions of layout variant

| Applied rules from evdev:
| -model: macbook79
| +model: pc105
| layout: ch
| variant: de_mac
| options: macbook79,lv3:ralt_switch,terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp
| Trying to build keymap using the following components:
| keycodes: evdev+aliases(qwerty)
| -types: complete+numpad(mac)
| +types: complete
| compat: complete
| -symbols: pc+macintosh_vndr/ch(de_mac)+inet(evdev)+level3(ralt_switch)+terminate(ctrl_alt_bksp)
| -geometry: macintosh(macbook79)
| +symbols: pc+ch(de_mac)+inet(evdev)+level3(ralt_switch)+terminate(ctrl_alt_bksp)
