For 2.6.32-21 I can provide logs only if I start my ThinkPad without X.

2.6.32-21 works with xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.1-4 with
occasional crashes that I describe in bug #593293

I've installed
http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian/20100813T030028Z/pool/main/l/linux-2.6/linux-image-2.6.32-5-686_2.6.32-20_i386.deb
and X works
