Bug#591233: /usr/bin/xset: After 5-10 minutes the monitors gets into standby FOREVER; cold power to reboot

Dear Sir,

I have 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP with a intel video card from my ASUS mother board;

after 5-10 minutes, when I watch a movie in fullscreen frm firefox as tv stream , then 
go the xset and all is finishes.

I use fvwm and xorg and no xscreensaver daemon

so xset does the job himself

Any ideas what could be wrong with that xset thing? 
How to avoid xset to freeze the whole PC (well only monitor)

I can ssh still the box once xset made it headless
