Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:2.7.0-1
Severity: normal

Since upgrading to the Intel driver 2.7.0 and the xorg xserver 1.6.1
(all from Debian unstable), the server has crashed twice in a similar
way: The mouse cursor moves correctly, all windows display correctly
(ctwm is the window manager), but no keys do anything including
ctrl-alt-F1. The only way to recover is to power off and reboot, but
then there's nothing interesting in the logs.

The machine is a Thinkpad T60 with Intel graphics.

I've compiled the kernel (2.6.29) with CONFIG_MAGIC_SYSRQ=y. Is there
a magic sysrq combination that would help extract more debugging
information?

Or should I try a newer Intel driver (or xorg server)?

I'm hoping this got fixed in a newer version of the driver, so closing
this bug. If you can still reproduce it with the latest driver and
kernel in unstable feel free to reopen, and file the bug upstream
according to http://intellinuxgraphics.org/how_to_report_bug.html

Sorry for the late answer, and thanks for your report.

Cheers,
Julien
