Bug#577230: compiz: ABI version mismatch with several plugins
Package: compiz
Version: 0.8.2-6
Severity: normal
Hi,
A number of the plugins included with Compiz fail to load with the
current Squeeze version, with errors like the following:
/usr/bin/compiz.real (core) - Error: Plugin 'core' has ABI version '20090207', expected ABI version '20090619'.
/usr/bin/compiz.real (mousepoll) - Error: InitObject failed
/usr/bin/compiz.real (core) - Error: Couldn't activate plugin 'mousepoll'
/usr/bin/compiz.real (core) - Error: Plugin 'core' has ABI version '20090207', expected ABI version '20090619'.
/usr/bin/compiz.real (thumbnail) - Error: InitObject failed
/usr/bin/compiz.real (core) - Error: Couldn't activate plugin 'thumbnail'
Perhaps the plugins need to be compiled against a newer core?
Regards,
John Lindgren
