My system fails to display the KDM boot manager but does respond to swapping to terminal.

Using the VESA driver with the virtual directive removed I can get a login box but not suitable as it limits me to single screen and 1280x1024.

Radeonhd, radeon or ati driver produce the same result.

Downgrading to stable fixes issue.
